Football Therapy for young people 15-17

As part of our football therapy work we have discovered that there are many young people in Warrington aged 15 -17 who want to play football but can't or don't feel they can because they are suffering from some mental health issues, social anxieties, stress related problems, don’t want necessarily want to play competitive games for a team, just starting the game or are just lacking in confidence and are in fear of being judged as not good enough

We are running 2 pilot tester sessions on November 19th and 26th Friday evenings 6.30-7.30pm for 15-17 year olds who can play for fun in a safe and non judgmental environment.

Unfortunately we are having to limit the numbers to 16 participants for each of the sessions so all sessions will need to be pre booked with us to heading #AllToPlayFor – booking.

We are doing the November sessions free of charge so it's on a first come basis. .

We will have some mental health mentors attending who will are available to talk to and who can signpost if necessary. We are not counsellors nor do we have any medical qualifications.

Parents/carers are welcome to stay and watch.

We are looking at extending the program in the New Year for a further 6 week pilot. More details will be announced in the next few months.
